HEALTHY SMOOTHIE BOWL

I am such a breakfast girl, I look forward to making and then having my smoothie each morning as part of my morning routine.
My mornings are my favourite part of the day because I love spending 10 minutes preparing my smoothie bowl full of fruits, nuts, and other superfoods. I find that doing something with my hands enables my mind to wander whilst I am doing something productive. It’s a great way to reflect and get into the ‘zone’, making me energised to tackle my day ahead.

Ingredients for my favourite smoothie:
- 1 banana
- 4-5 ice cubes
- A hand full of almonds
- Slices of Ginger root (I put in about a table spoon’s worth)
- Tablespoon of Turmeric (I am obsessed)
- Dash of cracked pepper (to accentuate the turmeric benefits)
- Tablespoon of raw Cocoa powder
- Tablespoon of natural yogurt (for the good gut bacteria)
- Teaspoon of natural peanut butter
- Teaspoon of tahini
Then I add a dash of water (as I love my smoothie thick – but just add more water if you like a thinner consistency). Then blend together (I use a NutriBullet).
I like to pour the smoothie into a bowl and top it with fruits in season. Kiwi, blueberries and Strawberries are just delicious to add.
